Proaktywne podejście i pewność siebie zrobiły na mnie ogromne wrażenie. Dostrzegając wyjątkowe umiejętności Błażeja, wiedziałem, że jest idealnym kandydatem, aby dołączyć do Allegro i przekształcić nasz proces rozwoju produktów w globalny mechanizm zarządzania portfelem.

The need

Allegro’s marketing team operates in an exceptionally dynamic project environment, where many fast-paced, high-quality initiatives are carried out simultaneously. The pace of work, the high level of creativity of the employees, and their natural commitment mean that daily activities require good coordination and a consistent understanding of priorities. The company was looking for a solution that would strengthen project management skills while providing space for practical cooperation exercises in conditions that reflect time pressure and constant change.

The challenge

The main challenge was to combine the creative way of working of marketing teams with a structured project approach. Participants were accustomed to intensive idea generation, spontaneous action, and high engagement, which often works to Allegro’s advantage in its fast-paced environment, but can be difficult to combine with methodical planning. It was also important to create a situation in which participants could practice setting priorities, communicating effectively, and making quick decisions—without the risk of affecting real business activities.
An additional aspect was the conduct of two full two-day workshops (in Warsaw and Poznań), which, however, were to maintain consistency in form and objectives so that the entire training experience could be treated as a single, comprehensive development intervention.

Solution

The training program was based on two business games: the Raven13 rescue simulation and the Mir91 strategic space mission. Both games allowed participants to enter demanding scenarios in which timely delivery of results, division of roles, accurate diagnosis of the situation, and operating with incomplete information were important. This allowed teams to observe their natural styles of cooperation in practice and modify their strategies on an ongoing basis.
During the workshops, participants went through the full project cycle: from planning, through implementation, to reviewing their decisions. Business games proved to be an effective tool for showing how creativity and spontaneity can strengthen the project process – as long as they are based on a clear structure, division of responsibilities, and consistent communication.
The combination of intensive simulation and substantive materials allowed participants to translate their gaming experiences into the real, dynamic reality of working at Allegro. The result was increased project awareness, improved collaboration, and a better understanding of how to maintain quality and agility simultaneously in an environment full of fast-paced, diverse projects.
