Raven 13 is a simulation in which participants act as a team undertaking a complex rescue operation under conditions of limited time, fragmented information, and increasing risk with every decision. During the training, the group must set priorities, align strategies, make decisions under pressure, and take responsibility for managing the project. Participants learn to monitor project progress, identify risks, and manage resources and time as key elements of effective project management. The simulation reflects the full project life cycle, from planning and execution to project closure.
The program also introduces key project management concepts and provides practical context for working with stakeholders. Participants explore both agile and traditional approaches to project management and learn when each can be effective. Between phases, the facilitator pauses the simulation to explain observed dynamics, connect them to real-world project situations, and translate experience into practical management insights. Raven 13 is not a win-focused game, but a realistic simulation that helps teams understand how projects actually unfold.
